Who’s on Your Team?
What the teacher did not know is that the principal already completed an initial behavioral assessment of (the teacher) and was now in need of further opportunities for detailed behavioral examples. It’s like giving a person enough rope to hang themselves, one may say.
A few weeks prior, it was found that this (same) teacher had been and continues to sponge monies off students. This is shameful! No teacher should be allowed to come up with schemes to supplement their income at the expense of students. The teacher, it is alleged, is seeking monies from community stakeholders in support of so-called school programs, only to pocket the money. What would parents and stakeholders say if they knew? What of liabilities for the school? What of the school’s brand? What of ethics? What an injustice?
Taking things a bit further, this same teacher involves students in their scheme. When students are confronted on the matter, they lie to the principal, then report to the teacher. How can one person have such control over others? These are young minds being shaped to disrespect authority. These types of reports to the teacher, now about 3 and counting, enrages the teacher, who then goes “ghetto” on the learning community. In the matter at hand, the student was asked about certain activities they may have been involved in with the teacher. They denied it all. They were informed not to repeat or be in violation of the school’s code of conduct. The student was told that the school would not involve their parent about the matter as the issue was considered closed.
